Axis Deer Hunts

Axis deer have brown coats with a yellowish or reddish tinge with white spots that give it a speckled
appearance.  This is set off by the bright white underparts.  Antlers on this axis deer are slender with few
branches.  In many areas this deer is also called the spotted deer.

Axis deer adults grow in access of 175 lbs. Axis females have one baby
per year.  There breeding season is in November and babies are born
in June.  The axis can live as long as 20 years and eats grasses, leaves
and flowers.

In Texas these deer can be hunted all year.

Day Hunts are semi-guided.  The guide will give the hunter an overview of the game
movement and release the hunter to hunt.  The hunter is responsible for field dressing,
quartering, storage and removal.
Hunter can stay as long as they want in order to find their animal of choice.  Day fees
are charged, and kill fees are charged if blood is drawn.
